Caroline Dath°Camille Circlude is a graphic designer at Kidnap Your Designer, with Damien Safie and Esther Poch.

The studio produces creative works using typography and printing techniques for clients from the music, art, design or architecture fields. Cultural institutions and associations also missions the studio on their visual communication tools.

They co-founded the collective We Are Graphic Designers, which aims to raise clients’ awareness of the culture of graphic design and the quality of public commissions.

Caroline°Camille has been a teacher at erg since 2009, in the graphic design section. They also designed the course “Digital Non Binary” with Stéphanie Vilayphiou (OSP) and “From the editorial concept to printing“.

 

Camille°Caroline implements a reflexive approach on pedagogical practices that they experiments by initiating workshops (Summer School Art Passing Trans*, Trans//Border, Bye Bye Binary,…), by facilitating workshops with others or by writing*.

Since 2017, with Loraine Furter and Xavier Gorgol, they has been part of the research group Teaching To Transgress* which is an experiment on gender and queer issues, postcolonialism and intersectional feminism, within the context of the pedagogy and practice of the arts. In 2019-2022, this project has taken the form of a European Erasmus Plus programme Teaching To Transgress Toolbox.

Since 2018, Camille°Caroline has been a member of the Bye Bye Binary collective active on issues of inclusive and non-binary typography.

Camille°Caroline is currently pursuing, 2020-2022, a Master’s degree in inter-university Gender Studies in Brussels for which they is conducting a thesis-research about “Inclusive typographic revolution and political non-binarism”.
